For the front of the box i wanted to play around with arabic type.

Development - Stamps

Development

I took my silhouettes and watercolour textures, and using photoshop i was able to crop the silhouettes out using photoshops selection tool.

I overlayed a texture to give the designs a more vintage and worn out look.

I then played around with the designs colour balance to give them a more darker look.

I moved onto looking at a range of different stamp layouts.

This layout stood out to me the most because it was simplistic and i liked the idea of having France at the bottom.

These are my final designs.

Research

Research

I started off with some general research on stamps and matchboxes.

I also researched a variety of french stamps to see the specific legal requirements to have on the stamps.

Brainstorm

I then quickly made a few brainstorm one for stamps, matchboxes and potential imagery that i could use for the stamp designs.

Mood Boards

I then created a few mood boards for the stamp designs looking at the objects/images that are associated with france, and one that focuses more on watercolour designs as that i what i wanted to do for my stamps.

Colour Scheme

My idea for the stamps was to use red/pink watercolours to represent wine that is highly associated with france.
